Automotive themed complete lesson plans x 12
All lessons are based on real life activities with the motor industry as a backdrop, encompassing sub-sectors such as motorsport, motorcycle, heavy vehicle, motor parts, paint and finishing and sales as well as green issues such as vehicle emissions. The rationale behind “Indicate” is to a) introduce students to the various aspects of the motor industries b) allow students to demonstrate a fluency and confidence in a range of “real life” mathematical techniques and processes in an unfamiliar context.

Help them to see how far reaching and influential the sector is, and inspire them to consider joining this rapidly advancing and transformational sector
For Key stages 1-2 in primary schools the presentation is visually stimulating, and focused on showing the students how much the automotive sector influences their everyday lives, and also to address any stereotypes about the sector that they may have
Headlight is the initiative developed by the IMI in conjunction with specialist teachers through the National Schools Partnership (NSP).
Through this programme pupils will develop their business and enterprise knowledge and increase their awareness of the exciting career opportunities available to them within the motor industry.
