This unit of work allows learners to focus on learning and/or further developing on their techniques in cricket; covering fielding, batting and bowling. Pupils will learn about ways of outwitting an opponent in a striking and fielding game; this is represented by a batter striking the ball that deceives fielders and gaining the most runs that can be achieved. Pupils will also be given the opportunity to learn the basic rules of cricket and begin to accurately umpire games independently.
Covers Topic 3.2- The components of fitness in basketball and helps them understand which components are more important in a game of basketball through 5 basketball (components of fitness) stations. This lesson can lead to fitness testing and introducing how to fitness test for the main components of fitness in basketball.
Exam Revision Lesson I delivered prior to the exam in January. Covers all topics and key knowledge they will need to know before the exam. Student received a D* in the exam.
Whole lesson on Sport Psychology, I used Gifs to demonstrate skill classification which they then have to show understanding of which skill type the Gif relates to.
