Describe triglyceride absorption up to chylomicron formation:
Bile salts dissociate from the monoglycerides and fatty acids near the epithelial cells so the micelles break down
Monoglycerides and fatty acids diffuse into the epithelial cells as they are non-polar
Monoglycerides and fatty acids are recombined to triglycerides in the ER
In the Golgi apparatus the triglycerides associate with cholesterol and lipoproteins to form chylomicrons
