This whole lesson plus accompanying work booklet is for teaching Renaissance Medicine Edexcel GCSE 9-1 Medicine Through Time 1250-Present. This lesson is a QUIZ based on curing Charles II. Students will go through scenarios and decide how Renaissance doctors would treat Charles II. Each decision comes with points and the aim of the game is to not kill Charles II! This is perfect as an observation lesson as it is really unique and fun! This is a super fun lesson and students love it. Also includes a reflective question (What does the treatment of Charles II suggest about how much medicine had progressed since the Middle Ages?) and exam question (Explain one way in which treatments for illness were similar in the fourteenth and seventeenth centuries - 4 marks) This is a great lesson to summarise Renaissance medicine and have a bit of fun!
