French: The subjunctive in a nutshell - Part 1: regular '-er' verbs with outbursts of emotion

Welcome to Part 1 of the subjunctive. As you know, mastering the subjunctive is tricky business and it is more geared towards A-Level French. This activity basically describes one function of the subjunctive in a nutshell and it contains step by step methods as to how to form it. Part 1 solely focuses on how to form regular ‘-er’ verbs in the subjunctive mood alongside expressions of outbursts of emotion. Accompanied with this resource, is a unique workbook, in which the expressions using bursts of emotion are incorporated in the form of a cartoon story where the students search for the expressions used. There are also subsequent activities, very similar to the ones in the powerpoint. Parts 2-12 of the subjunctive are also available on my online shop, however I still have yet to install the workbooks for these parts. The powerpoint lesson in these parts are only available at the moment. Happy teaching and learning!

Welcome to Stage 4: The Pluperfect Tense Well done on mastering Stage 3: The Imperfect tense! As I have outlined in all the stages for mastering the tenses in French, I have designed each stage which deals with the necessary tenses and stage 4 is the pluperfect tense. I cover a wide range of verbs that I deem necessary in one's learning of the language. Not only have I made a huge bundle which consists of over 50 verbs in the pluperfect tense, but the conjugation workbook is also included, which is required from Key stage 4 onwards or whether adults are learning it for the very first time. This bundle will be useful for either teaching the tenses for the first time or revision. Normally I sell each part for £3 each and the workbook for £5, but for £17.50 (which would normally be £29 for all 9 items!), you will have the following: Part 1: Primary irregular -ir verbs: Aller, Avoir, Boire, Croire, Etre, Faire, Ouvrir, Prendre Part 2: Regular -er verbs: Arriver, Entrer, Essayer, Manger, Parler, Partager, Porter, Regarder Part 3: Regular -ir verbs: Bleuir, Choisir, Finir, Grandir, Ralentir, Refroidir, Rougir Part 4: Regular -re verbs: Attendre, Perdre, Rendre, Vendre, Descendre, Entendre, Repondre Part 5: Irregular -re verbs: Dire, Ecrire, Lire, Mettre, Suivre, Connaitre Part 6: Irregular -ir verbs: Devoir, Pouvoir, Savoir, , Voir, Vouloir Part 7: More irregular -ir verbs and intransitive verbs: Partir, Sortir, Tenir, Venir, Mourir Part 8: Impersonal verbs and reflexive verbs: Falloir, Pleuvoir, S'agir, ,Valoir, Se laver, Se servir de, Se souvenir Stage 4: The imperfect tense workbook Once again, for all 9 items this is incredibly great value which is a big reduction from £29 down to £17.50! Stage 7-1: Presentation of irregular primary verbs in the past future and the past conditional tense

(0)
Welcome to Stage 7-1! This is the initial stage of the mastering of the past future and past conditional tense and well done on completing Stages 6-9/6-9a!! The purpose of this powerpoint is to become deeply acquainted with the formation of tenses and verbs, especially for those who have difficulties in doing so. This is a very good way of introducing the conjugation either when teaching it for the very first time or revision. This is the 49th stage of the learning process and there are 72 stages in the entire process. By the end of the 72nd stage, learners will have a developed a very profound mastery of not only forming nine different tenses which range with complexity upon progression, but also, an exhaustive range of different verbs which have been very carefully divided stage by stage. Upon completion of Stage 9-8, the final stage of the process, will immensely prepare students to pursue with their French studies at university level, where they will inevitably be using tenses. It is also suitable for adult learners, again whether they are learning it for the first time or revision. This folder contains irregular primary verbs in the past future and the past conditional tense: Aller Etre Faire Avoir Prendre Ouvrir Boire Croire When showing each slide, there is an audio clip on each new item that you can click on and you will hear my voice which demonstrates the pronunciation of each item, or alternatively, you can lead the pronunciation of each item. It is up to you! The learners will then reiterate the new items every time they see the slide 'This time you try it!' You will be very surprised to see how it will stick in their minds!! I would strongly encourage you to purchase the follow-up activity 'French: Stage 7: The past future and the past conditional tense', which enables students to manually complete the drills based on what they have learnt. They are £5. Upon completion of Stage 7-8, there are tests also available. Happy teaching and learning and the very best of luck!!

IGCSE French: Spot the difference at the train station

Here is a puzzle which has strong links with the GCSE/IGCSE French curriculum and it focuses on vocabulary and grammar at the train station. There are twenty differences to find and it is ideal to give your students this as a warm-up activity at the beginning of the lesson, recapping on previously learnt vocabulary or if they are learning vocabulary for the first time, try and get them to distinguish what some of the vocabulary means without having to use a dictionary. The answers are displayed on the slides which follow. The cost of this resource is 3 pounds. Happy teaching and learning!
