A resource to be printed and used to support KS2 children and their writing process.

Whole class guided reading lessons aiming to develop children’s comprehension skills through a reading of R.J. Palacio’s ‘Wonder.’ The resource pack includes the questions needed to develop retrieval, explanation, inference, prediction and summarising skills. The lessons are best suited for children in upper KS2. I have used them with Year 5-6 children.

This document is used to assess Year 5 children. A class could be split into 3 groups with an assessment record for each.

This document is used to assess Year 4 children. A class could be split into 3 groups with an assessment record for each. A key is then created to show whether a child is working towards, expected or greater depth.
