The main activity which is collaboration based, looks to reveal to students Hitler's mass appeal and his dislike for minorities. This lesson can also be used as to show the transition of the democratic Wiemar Republic to Hitlers Nazi dictatorship.

This lesson is part of the First World War unit of study. It can be done as a one off lesson on conscription in World War One. Students have just had a lesson on the propaganda campaign launched by the British government to encourage men to volunteer for the First World War. Students will focus on the shift in policy towards conscription in this lesson and build on their knowledge of recruitment in the First World War.
