This worksheet and activity lesson is an in-depth analysis of Queen Mary l's legacy and our interpretation of her as Queen of England. Students will examine some of the key events of her reign with a focus on whether she is a misunderstood or bloody queen.
Included are:

An excellent EAL friendly, well-resourced and developed History lesson which looks to introduce students to Medieval understanding of disease and possible treatments based on information from the time period. The main activity looks to reveal to students the difficultly in making a judgement on which types of diseases were treated with the cures at the time, based on down right ridiculous Medieval beliefs!
Great as a follow up to the Black Death or as a precursor lesson.
SMSC has been considered with reflection opportunities within the main activity, such as should doctors morally treat ALL patients regardless of social status?
This lesson can also be used for a possible observation/interview or where students do not have their own books, as stand alone work booklet for students is provided.

An introductory lesson to The Weimer Republic in the World War One unit of study. This lesson can be used as a precursor to World War Two or looking at Germany during the inter-war years.
The main task is literacy based and asks students to consider the reasons for the collapse of Germany's government and how the Weimar Republic was different to its predecessors (democratic processes).
Included are:
PowerPoint- differentiated challenge tasks/ visual prompts to help the less able/ Exam style questions
Worksheet- Information on the Weimar Republic and the Challenges faced by Germany by the end of the First World War.

This lesson aims to continue to explore the transatlantic slave trade with an emphasis on the Middle Passage and slave transportation. Students will be exploring the lesson with a particular emphasis on empathy and emotional understanding of the slave journey across the Atlantic.
The lesson is part of the History National Curriculum for the United Kingdom under Expansion of the British Empire.

This lesson looks to introduce students to the terms of the Treaty of Versailles and their impact on Germany at the end of the First World War. This lesson can be used in modules involving both World War One or World War Two.

Designed for a 30 minute interview lesson however it can easily be extended to 45-55 minutes by slowing down the pace and allowing students to complete all the extension tasks.
Ideally for key 3 ( year 7s) or key stage 2 ( year 5/6)
Excellent resource which looks at the reasons why people voted for Hitler in 1932. The main activity which is collaboration based, looks to reveal to students Hitler's mass appeal and his dislike for minorities. This lesson can also be used as to show the transition of the democratic Wiemar Republic to Hitlers Nazi dictatorship.
