I’ve made a fun world book day / week starter activity game. The idea is that you read the first line and the children guess the book. The last line is optional and can be read out in if they are struggling to get it from the first line. I have used a mix of traditional tales, familiar stories and texts that we’ve read together this year but these can be edited to books of your choice. I hope your children enjoy playing. I’ve put together a masked reader power-point for our school to take part in world book day this year. It includes backgrounds from the show the masked singer along with an introduction video from the masked singer that can be used to promote the activity and gear the children up for it. There are also two pages which allow for you to input videos of staff members reading aloud if you wish behind the silhouette shadows or for putting an image of the front covers alongside a silhouette for the children to guess who is reading. There is a small cost to this resource due to the time and effort that went in to creating it.
