This resource is particularly aimed at SEN Entry Level pupils and pupils who older pupils who find sentence demarcation challenging. It is often difficult to get age appropriate material for older pupils who have yet to master the basics in punctuation and writing. The content is based on pupils and teachers at Sunnydale Comprehensive School. Task 1 - Pupils rewrite a short paragraph (about 100 words) placing full stops and capital letters in the correct places. The content is designed to be engaging and about different characters who the pupils ought to be able to identify with. Task 2 - Pupils complete a short comprehension about the paragraph answering in full sentences with a capital letter at the beginning and full stop at the end.
