Past Tenses: Simple, Perfect and Progressive
A thorough introduction to the different ways of writing and talking about things that happened in the past. I created this for a year 6 student, but have also used it successfully with teenagers, and even adults, who needed a refresher on this topic.

Year 7 Crosswords - Set 2
Another set of crosswords compiled using Exam Ninja’s year 7 spelling list. Can be used alongside the look, cover, write and check method, or as a standalone resource to aid vocabulary and spelling skills. Using a thesaurus (paper or online) will help students find the answers and should be encouraged.

11+ Verbal Reasoning - Find The Hidden Words
A pack of five verbal reasoning practice worksheets. Students practice finding the four-letter or five-letter words hidden within the sentences. Suitable for students who are preparing to take the verbal reasoning element of the 11+ test, or for those who enjoy word-based puzzles.

Comprehension Pack - Agatha Oddly
A set of two comprehension exercises using extracts from Agatha Oddly and the Secret Key by Lena Jones. This resource is suitable for students at KS3. Pack includes 2 readings; 2 question papers including vocabulary questions, information retrieval questions and longer writing tasks; and teacher’s notes.
Commas and Ambiguous Sentences
This resource introduces the concept of ambiguity, both in images and in writing. It is suitable for younger students who are encountering the concept for the first time, as well as older learners who need a refresher.
The worksheets allow students to practice making sense of ambiguous sentences by paying attention to the punctuation.
