Adaptation and Mitigation (Climate Change).

(0)
This lesson includes the following: • Do Now Activity. • Guided Reading Activity + Questions (easy to print). • Quiz with Animated Answers (easy to administer). • Structured ‘Talking Point’ with Key Vocabulary (and timers for pace). • Structured Extended Writing – based on the Talking Point, so students are prepared. • Exit Ticket that revisits the Learning Objectives and keeps students accountable. Please note that this lesson follows the ‘Bread and Butter’ format that is standard at Last Minute Lessons. These lessons are inspired by the format required of the KHDA, the inspectorate in Dubai that functions similarly to OFSTED in the UK. Part of the rationale behind the LML format is that teachers can pull them off TES and still teach a passable lesson by the standards of any inspectorate. The lesson covers the concept of Adaptation, Mitigation, International Agreements, and Climate Change.

Edexcel iGCSE - Study Booklet

(0)
I created this booklet after having to put one of my GCSE classes on permanent cover - the idea was to create a booklet that would a) follow the specification, b) allow students to answer questions independently, and c) to obtain Very Good to Outstanding results in the forthcoming iGCSE examinations. The booklet served its purpose, and almost all students were able to obtain results that were Very Good to Outstanding.

Global Development and Urban Issues (China, India, Madagascar) - KS3 Geography

(0)
This resource consists of the following: 12 x lessons on the topic of global development and urbanisation. Six of these lessons are guided readings directly related to the lesson. Each lesson has two learning objectives. Each lesson also has a Do Now, Quick Quiz, Discussion Point, and an Essay (Exit Ticket). All tasks in lesson are directly evaluated against the LOs. We have formulated this style of lesson in order to obtain Outstanding grades during KHDA observations (in Dubai). The Knowledge and Human Development Authority is the Dubai equivalent of OFSTED, containing many former inspectors and a very similar framework for evaluation. We are confident that these lessons can build student knowledge in such a way that your teacher outcomes will be very favourably evaluated if you are being observed. Alternatively, they contain much of the ‘bread and butter’ required for optimal day-to-day teaching.
