I am new to TES.com resources! My resources are English language learning audio and video. This material was written while I was an full-time IELTS examiner and British Council teacher trainer in China. All content is recorded in a professional recording studio so the quality is excellent. It would be great to have some feedback from you and if possible a nice helpful review so others can also find me. Regards... Sian

This stand-alone course is designed to be delivered daily to WhatsApp groups. 97 lessons will take you about 5 months if delivered one a day during week days. You can do it in class if you prefer. Here is a plan of the whole course for you to download https://drive.google.com/file/d/18u-8ZGqhRHakN_FuaSxBWFfyMp39Cua3/view?usp=sharing The audio files are recorded in a professional recording studio and the pdf files have the phonetic symbols for each word which some students find really useful. First day is the sound to be practiced, and the following day is homework tasks around that sound. This could be reading newspapers, learning tongue twisters, minimal pairs, poems etc. There is a mix of activities. The idea is that students listen (usually on their own phone) and repeat the sounds and words and sentences. In the Far East they are very keen on drilling and find it helpful. I delivered it via mobile to groups of students who had paid $60 each for this course and their homework was to use their voice recording function on their phone and read the sentences out in the group for everyone to hear and for me to comment on. This worked really well and all of my students were in remote areas in China so I never got to see them but we built up a really good relationship using this course. It was written before the demise of Queen Elizabeth hence is called “Queen’s English”. Please download the free days - the first 9 days - as a sample. You can see how you get on with it before you pay for the other 8 parts. In this resources are the following files (I have also given you the DOC files in case you need to make changes). The Speak Out course comprises 4 modules of 25 short dialogues in the form of MP3 audio files and accompanying transcripts. This course is designed for people who want to study in, or travel to the UK. The motivation was to introduce learners to language as it is spoken in real life rather than how it is presented in a course book. This course is divided into four modules, the first two of which are for pre intermediate students and the second two for intermediate students although there is language in the dialogues which could be useful for higher levels. The dialogues are short because they were designed to be delivered to a mobile phone to be done as self-study and then worked on in class. There are also pdf transcripts for each audio so the listener can read along at the same time. Each audio also has a language point – some colloquial language or slang or idiom or other common expression. They are deliberately short and can be drilled in class in role plays exercises too. The story follows a student who has moved to the UK to study a master’s degree. It follows him as he navigates transport, renting a house, booking hotel, making reservations in restaurants and meets friends and neighbours. Pre-intermediate Straight talking Talk the talk Intermediate 3) Spit it out 4) Talk is cheap There is a sample of the dialogues to download from Google Drive here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1avI2s-ppFAp-pxmXK2bS8OAOCiHYoFEF/view?usp=sharing and on Youtube there is a sample of various modules of the course here. https://youtu.be/DiBfjrfiYxo
