Teach students all about the different types of stage lighting and how they can be used with a lighting design. We also look at the different types of effects and equipment used within theatre and live events.

I usually then give a live demonstration using lighting and sound effects and ask students to write down how each scene makes them feel.

We then look at the types of equipment they will work with and how that all connects together to create a PA System.
I usually pair this up with the Health and Safety lesson and then get them to do a live set up where they will be assessed on what they have learnt.

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations and health and safety aspects of Live Sound within Live events and theatre.
Teach students about the regulations in place and how control measures can help to prevent injury.
Risk Assessment Lesson
Teach students all about the importance of health and safety within live events and the process needed to complete a risk assessment to ensure an event is safe.
There is also a blank risk assessment for them to complete.
