New AQA GCSE Biology 9-1 specification. Topic 5 - Homeostasis and Response is very large so I am splitting into two packs this is part 1. Topic 5 part 1. This pack covers all of these theory topics; homeostasis, the nervous system, synapses and reflexes, the brain, the eye, correcting vision defects, negative feedback. The brain and an eye picture will need sourcing by the students - a fun activity has been suggested within the pack (in the notes at the bottom of slide) for the students to practise these drawings and create their own - it will really get them learning! These cards are useful for students to use for revision (print 2 to a page), and for teachers to use in a lesson as an activity or plenary. Good instructional material for a flipped classroom. Includes a 'Do' and 'Review' slide, the 'Do' will check understanding and make the learning more active, the 'Review' can help students check answers and act as a revision card. This is lesson 5 in the new Bioenergetics topic for AQA new 9-1 Trilogy and Biology specification. Written by an experienced teacher, writer and examiner, for teachers to teach a whole lesson at KS4. New AQA GCSE Biology 9-1 Specification. All content in here so suitable for individual sciences, trilogy, higher or foundation. My particular powerpoint version is aimed at single science higher tier, can be easily adapted to suit your trilogy or foundation students. Each tarsia puzzle is produced in two versions, one for trilogy and one for biology as an individual science (both higher and adaptable to foundation tier). I have grouped together the first four topics revision card activities, to give a great value complete revision pack for the first year of the content for students. Students are welcome to buy directly to help with their own revision, can help to understand the content a little easier - use together with your notes and revision guide. Teachers - help your lessons along to outstanding, I have seen very quick progress in my own students since I started using this format, students love them and are very willing to try. They are so useful and versatile, - revision cards, starters or plenaries, support mats, instructional material in the flipped classroom. Plus the tarsias are fun for students to work together on.
