Eczema Outreach Support

Eczema Outreach Support exists to help families deal with the practical and emotional aspects of having a child with eczema. We know that school can be a difficult place for a child with eczema and so have created staff training resources to help share more about what eczema is, how it can affect a young person and how small changes can make a big difference to the live of a young person with eczema.

Supporting Young People with Eczema is an animated resource created by Eczema Outreach Support with the help of young people, health care professionals and school staff. It has been developed to help school staff understand the impact eczema can have and how small changes to the school environment can make a big difference to the life of a young person with eczema. The resource showcases real life examples from young people on areas they found difficult at school and is narrated by Silvia Welsh Sanchez, a young person with eczema who is dedicated to making life easier for other young people with the condition. The training video is 15 minutes and can be completed individually or as part of a group session.
