I have created this lesson for my Year 10 Spanish group. This is their first year of Spanish and I always try to go through the basics with them before start using the book. In this resource you will find: * A brief introduction to the new GCSE. * A slide explaining how to ask and answer 'What is your name?' in Spanish. *A slide explaining how to ask and answer 'How old are you?' in Spanish. *A slide explaining how to ask and answer 'How are you?' in Spanish. *Some greetings and the difference between ‘tú’ and ‘usted’. *Numbers 1 to 50 *The alphabet *Phonetics - is not included in the Power Point but you can find this resource here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/spanish-pronounciation-la-fon-tica-espa-ola-11319613 The resource also comes with one worksheet about numbers and a recap activity. As you may know, each letter of the alphabet represents a single sound, and it is very important that they know how to pronounce them in order to achieve good grades in their speaking assessments. This Power Point includes: A vocab page to introduce some Halloween characters to students. Game 1: guess the character (part 1 - students see a picture and they have to click on the correct name). Game 2: guess the character (part 2 - students see a word and they have to click in the correct picture). Game 3: guess who - uncover clues and get rid of the characters that do not match.
