I have taught this text many times over the last twenty years and I have used this specific resource (revised in 2021): to lead my teaching in class, as a distance learning material with SKYPE lessons, as a homework assignment and even as a tool of revision – All have worked well for the students! This lesson has proved to be extremely successful in my own classroom. This lesson guides students through a guided writing experience based around a prison escape. It is a great confidence builder with the students themselves, the focus of these materials aims towards buiding on existing skills. I have used this particular resource in a number of different ways. I have used it after the exam period as a filler, I have used it to create coursework, I have used it as a distance learning material and also as a cover lesson.
