This Halloween Art Worksheet will bring seasonal cheer to your classroom! Students are tasked to sketch and create a Halloween Hanging Wall Art. Students are introduced to the famous Artist Matisse. They are then set three tasks -
Select a minimum of 2 Halloween Inspired Images below, these images will create your Halloween scene. You may have some of your own.
Use your images to create a sketch of your scene. When sketching, adapt the images inspired by Matisse’s ‘Cut Paper Collages’. This style shows shapes in their simplistic form. The shapes appear crudely cut and feature movement.
Follow the step by step instructions below, to create your Halloween Wall Hanger.

Christmas Card Making Worksheet
This double sized worksheet it suitable for Design Technology Cover lessons; or delivered by a specialist teacher. The worksheet focuses on Design consideration, providing information and tasks relating to usability, aesthetic considerations and colour association. The four tasks are clearly explained and answers are included for all questions. It has been used primarily for KS3, but could be delivered to KS4.
An additional handout sheet is also provided to help with differentiation. This handout sheet provides a list of suggested colour meanings for students to use (if they wish) to help complete task 2.

Design Technology Cover work
This Tone worksheet is suited for KS3 and KS4 students. This worksheet can be delivered by a specialist or non-specialist as part of a cover lesson. The tasks focus on drawing a shell (natural form) with added tone.
The following tasks are included:
Task 1: Replicate the Tonal Value Chart below. Using a pencil (ideally a 2B pencil) shade the blank chart. It should show a gradient of tones from dark to light.
Task 2: Replicate the drawing of the shell. It shows a real depth of tones from light to dark.
First, focus on drawing the outline of the shell lightly in pencil.
Add the tone – start with the lighter tones, as you can adjust these by making them darker if needed. You might prefer to add in the shadow first, so you can see the darkest tone you can create with your pencil.
Remember to refer to your Tonal Value Chart to help you add a variety of tones to your drawing.
