This Art cover work/cover lesson worksheet focuses on Cubism and is suitable for KS3 and KS4 students . Students are introduced to the Cubist movement and to the work of Pablo Picasso. Two of Picasso’s artworks have been included on the worksheet as inspiration.
Task -
Students have been provided with a front and side view photograph of the Royal Queen. They have been tasked to sketch her inspired by the works of Picasso and the Cubism Movement.
Students have enjoyed this lesson with great outcomes.

This Art cover work/cover lesson worksheet is double sided (A4) and explores lines used in Art. The worksheet firstly explores how lines are used in art and encourages students to sketch using this style of drawing. The students are introduced to Pablo Picasso and asked to study some of the artists artwork.
Students are tasked to draw their own face in the style of Pablo Picasso’s line drawings. They are then provided with four animal images and asked to draw their own contour line drawings depicting the shape, form and proportion of each animal.
This is a great lesson. The students hugely enjoy it and have lots of fun.

Task 1: Warm & Cold Colours
Replicate the colour tones (shown in the wheel) onto your own colour chart. Try and colour match the colours as accurately as you can.
Task 2: Painting practice
Apply water colours to the two tree rings.
Use warm tones on Tree Ring A and cold colours on Tree Ring B. Use your colour chart to help you select your colours for each. Create a gradient of colour so the colours blend from one to the other as seamlessly as possible.

These Food Worksheets focus on Nutritional Needs of a Child aged between 4-11 years. They have been delivered to KS3 and KS4 students as part of a specialist lesson, cover lesson and revision re-cap. Tried and Testing, clearly presented, reliable subject knowledge with answers provided.
Students are firstly introduced to the nutritional requirements of a child (4-11 years). They are then tasked to complete the table by writing a minimum of 1 food source per nutrient. Students are then presented with 4 questions relating to the topic. Students will then go onto writing a newspaper article helping to educate parents on promoting a healthy diet to their children. Finally students are tasked to complete a daily meal plan for a 5 year old, recalling the information they have just learnt. They will then sketch the main meal, label and state the nutritional benefit this meal has to the child.
Answers to task 1 and 2 have been provided on a separate sheet along with a video.

This resources focuses on Bacteria and Keeping Foods Safe in the Kitchen. It was primarily designed as a cover lesson for a year 9 class, however has been successfully received by KS4 classes as a cover lesson and as part
The double sided worksheet first tasks students to read the factsheet, as a class, this covers: What bacteria needs to grow, How bacteria can be slowed down, How the growth of bacteria can be prevented and what the causes of cross-contamination.
The factsheet is a great revision tool as well as helping with the second task. Students are then asked to create a comic strip explaining how bacteria can be controlled to keep foods safe. This was benificial for both year 9, 10 and 11 classes; as they were able to recall the content and use the comic strip as a creative revision tool. Learning whilst being enjoyable!

The students are then tasked to shade the letters in the word “Tones” using pencil, working from a dark shade to the lightest shade. They are then asked to select a colour of their choice and paint the letters of the word “Tones” in different shades working from the darkest to lightest.

This GCSE Food Mock resource focuses on How to write a 10 Mark Long Answer Question, relating to how manufacturers and shops influence a families food shop. The question is clearly presented. Students are then tasked to complete two mind maps writing down influences from the supermarket and manufacturer. An example has been provided for each. Images are shown to the side of each mind map, acting as prompts if the students are stuck.
Students are then asked to complete the question. They are provided with 10 minutes to do so. Space on the worksheet has been provided for students to write their answer. Once complete, the model answer can be read by the class and discussed. Students will return to their answer and mark using the help of the mark scheme.

This DT Cover worksheet has been primarily designed for KS3 students, as part of a cover lesson. It focuses on The influence of Branding and Marketing; and provides them with four tasks.
Students are asked to complete sentences relating to branding and marketing. They are then asked to analyse an example app/app icon branding - along with answering two marketing question. Next students are provided with a well known drinks can and asked to sketch their own word/s using the iconic drink typography. Lastly students are tasked to brand a child’s banking app.
