Forces revision
A lotus diagram for; forces, newtons laws, graphing motion, magnets, moments and pressure. Students write down key facts in each box relating to the topic of the box. The included powerpoint also contains prompts for what students could write in each box.
Atomic structure 1 - models of the atom
A lesson for the new AQA spec covering; the plum pudding model, Rutherford's experiments, the nuclear model of the atom, the Bohr model of the atom, then recapping our current model; protons, neutrons and electrons, calculating the amounts of these in an atom and drawing electron shell diagrams. (These last bits are done as a recap). You may need to split this into several lessons depending how long yours are (mine are 100 minutes!).
Atomic structure 2 - Alpha Beta and Gamma
A lesson for the new AQA spec covering; why atoms are radioactive, which elements are radioactive, radioactive isotopes, properties of alpha, beta and gamma, decay equations for alpha and beta and the random nature of decay. This lesson contains differentiated tasks and AFL. You may need to split this into several lessons depending how long yours are (mine are 100 minutes!).
Atomic structure 3 - Half life and activity
A lesson for the new AQA spec covering; modelling decay using half life dice, half-life and activity. This lesson is designed to go alongside the practical of using dice to model decay. If you don't have the dice to do as a class practical, I would give this a skip! You may need to split this into several lessons depending how long yours are (mine are 100 minutes!).

Induced fission vs spontaneous fission, chain reactions, nuclear power stations, the structure of a nuclear reactor core and how different levels of nuclear waste are stored. A lesson for the new AQA spec covering; comparison and definitions of fusion and fission, plasmas, fusion in stars, fusion reactions, conditions for fusions and why this is, fusion on earth, cold fusion and the importance of peer review. A worksheet for revision. A teacher led task which continually sets mini tasks for students to do on the worksheet. This resource covers; Newtons laws, Hooke's law, motion graphs, magnets, electromagnets, pressure and moments.

A lesson for the new AQA spec covering; Dose, irradiation, background radiation, people who receive a larger dose, hazards of radiation, contamination, the poisoning of Alexander Litvenenko (apologies for his spelling), preventing contamination, the uses of contamination. This lesson contains differentiation and AFL. You may need to split this into several lessons depending how long yours are (mine are 100 minutes!).
