Power and Conflict Revision Sheets

15 page printable revision booklet with a revision sheet for each of the 15 Power and Conflict Poems. Each revision sheet contains high-level analysis of the key quotations from the poem. A02 and A03 are embedded into the explanations. Also includes a ‘because, but, so’ summary of every poem. The ‘because, but, so’ method is an excellent tool for teaching students to think analytically about each poem in the Power and Conflict anthology. This tool is powerful because it encourages students to expand their thinking with precision and detail. After studying each poem, I ask students to write a ‘because, but, so’ paragraph on it. Also includes a 90 question quiz with answers. This document collates ‘because, but, so’ paragraphs on all 15 poems as examples to assist students with revising the key ideas in each poem. Also contains a second quiz with 10 multiple choice questions on every poem. Answer sheet also included. My most comprehensive resource on Power and Conflict poetry is available here with revision posters on every poem: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/power-and-conflict-revision-sheets-12884928

I have collated my annotations for all 18 Eduqas poems onto one PowerPoint. Each slide is animated with the annotations appearing with each mouse click to work through each poem chronologically. Naturally, teachers will want to adapt the annotations to suit the abilities of their students but this PowerPoint acts as a great starting point. The annotations were aimed at lower ability sets working towards grades 4 and 5. For higher ability classes looking for more in depth annotations, try my grade 9 revision sheets which are available here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12958233
