A knowledge organiser looking at how every poem in the Power and Conflict anthology can be compared to Exposure. Exposure is a key poem to revise because it links to many themes: power of nature, human power(lessness), loss of identity, conflict with identity, power of a place.
Contains 14 high level comparative paragraphs comparing a key quotation from Exposure and another poem to provide an example of how to make a thoughtful and perceptive conceptual comparison.
Also contains a revision sheet looking solely at the key quotations in Exposure with detailed analysis linked to the AOs.

I think version 2 is slightly better because it offers a wider coverage of quotations and also includes more critical debate for A05.

A detailed lesson, inspired by teaching tip 3 on the recent AQA 2022 examiner report, that guides students on how to write grade 9 topic sentences for a range of literature texts.
There are multiple examples for A Christmas Carol, Macbeth, Lord of the Flies and Power and Conflict that all follow the same structure.
At each stage of the lesson, students use the models to try and generate their own topic sentences for each studied text.
