I trained as a teacher of secondary Mathematics and evolved into a Computing teacher as well. I offer mainly Mathematics resources written for the current Australian Curriculum (NSW). Luckily Mathematics is recognisable all over the world, so I hope that teachers in different countries can use some of my work.

A double sided worksheet with solutions. Students need to add numbers together to form the patterns and describe each pattern. More challenging questions are provided where part of the pattern is shown and the missing numbers need to be calculated. Australian Curriculum (NSW) MA3-8NA analyses and creates geometric and number patterns, constructs and completes number sentences, and locates points on the Cartesian plane. 2-D shapes jigsaw

(2)
Two dimensional shapes jigsaw. Can be used as a review at the end of a lesson. Can be prepared by copying the answer sheet onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the squares from each sheet and place into a small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-15MG manipulates, classifies and draws two dimensional shapes, including equilateral, isosceles and scalene triangles, and describes their properties

Tables puzzles

(3)
Three single sided worksheets with solutions. The worksheets revise the 4 times and 9 times tables. There is a literacy component in that the students need to be able to write these numbers as words before searching find-a-words. Australian Curriculum (NSW) MA2-6NA uses mental and informal written strategies for multiplication and division If you like my work, please write a review to help others, and check out my shop for more useful activities.

Quilt block patterns

(1)
A set of 3 single sided activity sheets with solutions. Students need to carefully use a pencil and ruler to construct straight lines on the grid provided. Colour is then used to show the different two-dimensional shapes that have been formed. Students are asked to identify the shapes. Australian Curriculum (NSW) MA3-15MG manipulates, classifies and draws two-dimensional shapes, including equilateral, isosceles and scalene triangles, and describes their properties. If you like my work, please write a review to help others, and check out my shop for more useful activities.

Time measurement jigsaw and answer sheet. Can be used as a review at the end of a lesson or as a homework task. An alternative task can be prepared by copying the answer sheet onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the squares from each sheet and place into a small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-15MG performs calculations of time that involve mixed units, and interprets time zones

Numbers Exercise

(0)
Two double sided worksheets with solutions. Students work with place value, interpreting numbers written in words and in figures. Some ordering and other number properties are covered. Suitable as homework or revision of basic concepts. Australian Curriculum (NSW) MA3-4NA orders, reads and represents integers of any size and describes properties of whole numbers

Star Town Directions

(0)
A double sided worksheet with solutions. Students need to read the questions carefully and use the town grid to answer correctly. Compass directions are used as well as other directional language. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-17MG locates and describes positions on maps using grid-reference system
Time for ?

Time for ?

(0)
A single sided worksheet with solutions. Students need to be able to work with 24 hour time and a.m. and p.m. time. They need to interpret the timetables and answer questions. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-13MG uses 24-hour time and am and pm notation in real-life situations, and constructs time-lines

Left and right directions

(0)
A double sided worksheet and a single sided worksheet, both with solutions. Students need to use their knowledge about the directions of left and right in order to solve some problems. Also includes some turning 90 degrees to the left or right. Suitable as revision of these concepts at the end of a lesson or as a homework task. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-17MG locates and describes positions on maps using grid-reference system
