I trained as a teacher of secondary Mathematics and evolved into a Computing teacher as well. I offer mainly Mathematics resources written for the current Australian Curriculum (NSW). Luckily Mathematics is recognisable all over the world, so I hope that teachers in different countries can use some of my work.

Plotting points and area
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Plotting points and area

(2)
Students need to plot points accurately on the full Cartesian number plane. They also need to identify the shapes formed (quadrilaterals and triangles), giving reasons and calculate the area of each shape. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-8NA analyses and creates geometric and number patterns, constructs and completes number sentences, and locates points on the Cartesian plane
Volume of cylinders
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Volume of cylinders

(2)
A worksheet with answers, where students are given the formula for volume of a cylinder. The students are encouraged to think carefully about how to complete the table. The sheet starts with straight forward questions then turns things around and the student has to work backwards to get their answers. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-14MG uses formulas to calculate the volumes of prisms and cylinders, and converts between units of volume
Polypuzzle Activity
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Polypuzzle Activity

(0)
A jigsaw activity. Can be used at the end of a lesson as a problem solving activity for pairs of students. The second page needs to be prepared by copying it onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the 22 shapes from each sheet and place into into as small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times. MA4-1WM communicates and connects mathematical ideas using appropriate terminology, diagrams and symbols
Polypuzzle
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Polypuzzle

(0)
An activity where students need to reproduce 22 shapes onto equilateral dot paper (provided), cut these shapes out, assemble them to form a hexagon and then glue onto a sheet of paper or in their book. The dot paper needs to be printed separately to allow them to cut out. A challenge is included to only use a minimum of colours to colour the hexagon. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-1WM communicates and connects mathematical ideas using appropriate terminology, diagrams and symbols
Polygon angles
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Polygon angles

(5)
Worksheet with worked solutions, that leads students through the calculations to determine the angle sum of regular polygons and their interior angles. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-18MG identifies and uses angle relationships, including those related to transversals on sets of parallel lines
Tessellations
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Tessellations

(1)
A worksheet with solutions, for students to check which of the regular polygons tessellate. Students could work in pairs to produce their solution or it could be given as a homework activity. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-18MG identifies and uses angle relationships, including those related to transversals on sets of parallel lines
Checking answers
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Checking answers

(1)
A worksheet with solutions for students to practise substituting an answer into an equation to check whether it is a solution or not. The worksheet could be used at the end of a lesson on solving equations or as a take home task for homework. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-10NA uses algebraic techniques to solve simple linear and quadratic equations
Time Measurement jigsaw
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Time Measurement jigsaw

(0)
Time measurement jigsaw and answer sheet. Can be used as a review at the end of a lesson or as a homework task. An alternative task can be prepared by copying the answer sheet onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the squares from each sheet and place into a small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-15MG performs calculations of time that involve mixed units, and interprets time zones
Algebra trails
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Algebra trails

(0)
Students need to know their algebra facts when completing these worksheets. There are 2 double-sided worksheets with solutions. The four operations are used with the positive and negative algebraic terms. These worksheets could be used with Gifted and Talented students. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-8NA generalises number properties to operate with algebraic expressions
Integer trails
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Integer trails

(1)
Students need to know their number facts when completing these worksheets. There are 2 double-sided worksheets with solutions. The four operations are used with the positive and negative integers. These worksheets could be used with Gifted and Talented students, while less able students could use a calculator. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-4NA compares, orders and calculates with integers, applying a range of strategies to aid computation

Students need to know their number facts when completing these worksheets. There are 2 double-sided worksheets with solutions as well as a single sided challenge worksheet. The four operations are used with the positive integers. These worksheets could be used with Gifted and Talented students, while less able students could use a calculator. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-4NA compares, orders and calculates with integers, applying a range of strategies to aid computation
Times tables
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Times tables

(0)
A series of 11 worksheets for each of the times tables 2 to 12. Students need to write the times table using a calculator. They then can fold the edge of the paper over and try to answer by themselves. Trickier questions are included as well as using division facts for the same times table. Students could complete these worksheets in class or as a homework activity.
Indices
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Indices

(0)
Two worksheets with worked solutions using numerical indices with the three basic index laws. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-9NA operates with positive integer and zero indices of numerical bases
Dominoes
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Dominoes

(3)
A probability exercise with solutions. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-21SP represents probabilities of simple and compound events
Solving word problems using equations
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Solving word problems using equations

(16)
A worksheet with worked solutions. Students need to use a pronumeral to represent the unknown number They then need to write an equation and solve it to find the value of the unknown number. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-8NA generalises number properties to operate with algebraic expressions
Numerical indices jigsaw
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Numerical indices jigsaw

(0)
A jigsaw with answer sheet to revise numerical indices. Can be used as review at the end of a lesson.
