David Morse's Resources

Average Rating4.92
(based on 7005 reviews)

I regularly upload resources that I have created during 30 years as a teacher. Most of these are maths, but there are some ICT/Computing and Tutor Time activities. All of the resources are my own and are not available from third-parties. The resources have been tweaked over time and I have had many happy lessons and shed-loads of happy and successful students. At the end of 2017 the TES announced that I was the most downloaded new author and in 2018 another 2 million were added to the count.

GCSE Revision (Factorising)
Maths4EveryoneMaths4Everyone

GCSE Revision (Factorising)

(11)
Ideal for GCSE revision, these worksheets contain exam-type questions that gradually increase in difficulty. These sheets cover Factorisation including factorising quadratics. These review sheets are great to use in class or as a homework. They are also excellent for one-to-one tuition and for interventions. Interactive versions of these sheets are available at https://www.maths4everyone.com/skills/topic-review-sheets-9467.html The interactive versions allow individual questions to be selected for enlarged display onto a screen. The answer can then be worked out ‘live’ by the teacher (or student) or a single click will reveal my solution. This not only helps in class, but it is also very useful for a student who is revising at home.

Angles in Polygons (Challenges – Part 2)

(23)
These two worksheets are extremely good for making students think! They will need to use their knowledge of interior and exterior angles in polygons to solve some fairly tricky problems. The sheets can be used for work in class or as a homework. I love these sheets because the questions allow students to get involved in good, healthy mathematical discussion. --- Solutions (with hints) are included.

Adding Fractions - Stage Four (Worksheets with Solutions)

(3)
These worksheets (with solutions) help students take the first steps and then strengthen and extend their skills and knowledge of Adding Fractions. Questions are carefully planned so that understanding can be developed, misconceptions can be identified and so that there is progression both across and down each sheet. Interactive versions of these sheets are available at https://www.maths4everyone.com/skills/addition-and-subtraction-1551.html The interactive version allows individual questions to be selected for enlarged display onto a screen. The answer can then be worked out ‘live’ by the teacher (or student) or a single click will reveal my solution. LCM and HCF (Treasure Hunt)

(14)
This activity gives students practice at working out LCM or HCF of two numbers.. Click -->https://tes.com/.../Treasure Hunts to download Treasure Hunts on 40 other topics. -- A Treasure Hunt is a great activity which children love. They are ideal for revision, starters or plenaries. They are a really great way to get students to answer questions quickly and enjoy doing so. Unlike most Treasure Hunts, this one has the added feature that the answers to the questions give an encrypted clue. When students decipher this clue, it reveals where the treasure is hidden! The question cards have been prepared in two sizes. The large version can be pinned around the room and used for a whole class activity. The smaller cards can be used for group work or by individuals. The smaller cards are particularly helpful during interventions. Colour coding: I have used colours to indicate the increasing difficulty of questions: Red, Orange and Green (from primary up to GCSE Foundation) Blue and Purple (GCSE Higher) If you like this resource then please rate it and/or leave a comment by clicking here --> https://tes.com/.../Quick Comment

Equations with Composite Functions (Worksheet with FULL solutions)

Equations with Composite Functions (Worksheet with FULL solutions)

(6)
A worksheet that contains equations with composite functions and includes when a composite is equal to an inverse. All the equations will develop into quadratics that can be factorised. For this reason, this worksheet is excellent for higher GCSE students who want practice with their algebra, as well as with functions. The first questions are reasonably straightforward and typical of GCSE. The last row is particularly challenging and great preparation for students aiming for level 8 and 9.

Pi and the Circumference of Circles (Complete Unit)

(37)
Four carefully thought-out worksheets, which have helped many classes focus on working out the circumference of a circle or perimeter of a part-circular shape. There are also questions that require students to work backwards to find the diameter (or radius) when the circumference (or perimeter) is given. There are plenty of worded problems and an excellent sheet on finding perimeters of more complex shapes with curves. My students always really enjoy working through these sheets. -- The sheets can be used for work in class or as a homework. They are also excellent for one-to-one tuition and interventions.
