GCSE Chemistry - Acid Reactions
This is a worksheet with 25 word equations to complete with answers. The equations include acids reacting with metals, oxides, carbonates and hydroxides.
GCSE Recall and Retrieval Grids - Chemistry
This resource contains 10 recall/retrieval grids with answers (20 slides in total). They were designed for the new GCSE Edexcel Combined Science spec but could also be used with the GCSE AQA trilogy spec.
The grids cover many topics: chemical reactions, atomic structure, the periodic table, bonding, states of matter, acids and bases, extracting metals, rates of reaction and hydrocarbons.
Each recall grid contains 10 questions with a section for the student to answer and a section to correct their answers. This is to encourage students that lack confidence to attempt the questions.
The grids can be printed out or displayed on the screen. They could be used as a starter or exit ticket to assess understanding. They could also be given out periodically to ensure students are remembering key knowledge.
