Travel Training SEN Travel Planning Scenario Starbucks
This is a resource I use for students that require Travel Training sessions.
In order to develop transferable skills, students are required to plan journeys on public transport.
This resource is a scenario where students can plan a trip to their local Starbucks cafe.
You just need to add the appropriate info (street names etc.) for your local area!
It gives advice to students of things they need to consider when planning their journey.
It also encourages budgeting skills.
Travel Training SEN Travel Strategies Worksheet
This is a resource that I use with SEN students that require Travel Training sessions.
I usually use this after the Initial Assessment, so the students can share any concerns they have around travelling on public transport.
They also have to think of the benefits to using public transport (independence etc.) and what travel strategies they can use to help them (fidget toys, music on headphones etc.)
Travel Training SEN Road Safety Poster Task
This is a resource that I use with students that require Travel Training sessions.
This is a road safety poster task, which can be used as a classroom based activity for when the weather is bad or the students don’t want to go out.
It can be used in conjunction with the Travel Training SEN Road Safety Quiz.
Travel Training SEN Road Safety Quiz
I use this resource with students that require Travel Training sessions.
This is a short road safety quiz, with statistical information provided by the World Health Organisation about road traffic injuries in youths.
It also provides information on how to cross the road safely.

Students with EHCP’s often have Travel Training related EHCP goals.
These worksheets can be used to set the goal at the beginning of the year and then the review sheet can be used to review the progress made throughout the year.
