This is a 2 page game review worksheet for the film The Simpsons, where students answer questions about the plot and give their overall opinion. This can be used as an extension task after students have watched the movie, for substitute teaching or the Creative iMedia course.

This resource can be used for students completing a Film or Media Studies course. It is a 7 page quick quiz task, about sports films based on the sports genre. This resource can be used for students Entry Level 3 and above. This resource is useful to helpful to engage SEN students with an interest in sports; it could even be used as an IT session as an Internet research task, for substitute teaching or as part of Functional Skills English.

I use this resource with the accompanying PowerPoint for CEIAG (Careers Education Information Advice & Guidance) sessions in Media Studies sessions. Students recap the 5 different media sectors and then research a career in the media sector (via the PowerPoint/Group Discussion). Afterwards, the students can complete this worksheet, stating what skills and qualities are needed for the chosen career and how they have been working on these within sessions. Can be easily adapted to suit your subject area.

A 3 page research task for students completing a Film, Media Studies or P.E. course. The research task is about football/soccer films. Perfect for students SEN Entry Level 3 and above. A helpful resource to engage SEN students that have an interest in sports or football; it could even be used as an IT or EDSQ session as an Internet research task, for substitute teaching or as part of Functional Skills English (sport/film topics).

I use this resource for students studying Game or Media Studies. It can be used as an extension task or for substitute teaching. Students are given a commonly thought statement about video games (violent, only for teenagers and geared towards males) and they are challenged to prove if the statement is true or false by providing any evidence to the contrary. It could also be used as the basis for a debate/discussion for Functional Skills English/Literacy.

This resource can be used for students completing a Film or Media Studies course. This is a 3 page research task using the IMDB (Internet Movie Database) website. Students are asked to research their favourite film on the IMDB website. It provides the opportunity for students to recognise websites as a source of information. This resource could also be adapted for ICT/Computing Internet research tasks.

This resource can be used for students completing a Gaming or Media Studies course. This is a 4 page game review worksheet for the video game Rocket League, where students answer questions about the upgrades, speed, playability, comparing other games from the same genre, graphics and sound etc. This can be used as an extension task after students have played the game or for substitute teaching

This is a resource I use for students that require Travel Training sessions. In order to develop transferable skills, students are required to plan journeys on public transport. This resource is a scenario where students can plan a trip to their local Vue cinema. You just need to add the appropriate info (street names etc.) for your local area! It gives advice to students of things they need to consider when planning their journey. It also encourages budgeting skills.

They are usually placed in front the accompanying NOCN Human Growth & Development Entry Level 3 Portfolio Assessment Sheets (which are an opportunity for students to provide photographic evidence for their qualification). NOCN Code: NOCN R/505/3675 It covers all criteria, from 1.1 to 4.1

They are usually placed in front the accompanying NOCN Imaging Software Level 2 Portfolio Assessment Sheets (which are an opportunity for students to provide photographic evidence for their qualification). NOCN Code: It covers all criteria, from 1.1 to 2.6 I embedded this qualification into a Digital Media course that I designed, where students designed their own media product.
