Simpsons Why Do Famous People Appear? This is a full lesson PP – and it ties into others that I have also uploaded – can be used as a standalone lesson and asks pupils to consider why famous people would appear as character – intended as a piece of report writing.

Poetry Scheme of Work AQA Cluster 2 poems Lesson This is a series of 10 lessons that, although using all of the poems from Cluster 2, can be used with any year group to teach analysis of poems - and could even be used as prep for the unseen poem in the new Lit spec. This is a series of 10 lessons uploaded separately.

This is one of several powerpoint lessons that I have uploaded for key Stage 3 pupils. The lessons are skills based and all cover war texts - from a variety of different wars. The lessons are contextualised in terms of the war period that the text originates from. The lesson is ready to teach, although you will wish to adapt and differentiate. The other lessons can be used alongside it,, but all are suitable as standalone lessons. This lesson covers drafting skills and gets pupisl to redraft work craeted in previous lessons.

Full lesson PP – adapting a book into a film This lesson is designed to show pupils how to turn a book of their choice into a film and then pupils create a film trailer by using images and moviemaker.

This is another one of the schemes of work created for year 9 that introduces the art of speaking and listening and breaks it down against the AQA criteria - so preparing pupils for when they start to be assessed in year 10.

This is a full essay plan that can be given to pupils in order to support their structuring of an essay comparing Sonnets.

Writing Lessons marriage and Family Lesson 4 Writing Lessons Marriage and Family Lesson This is one of eight lessons on a unit that covers marriage and family and finding a job. The lessons go through whether marriage is relevant and then how to find a job. Part of an adult world Functional skills unit aimed at level 1 and 2 candidates.

Reading Afs lesson that introduces and uses 2 This is one of two lessons that introduce the reading Afs and allow pupils to assess their progress through them- uses articles on the credit crunch as the context for learning so great for PHSE too.

With this lesson PP pupils work in groups to storyboard the opening to a film. They turn your narritive into a storyboard and then you show them the opening - you will need a copy of Shrek to show them the opening credits. Pupils love the suprise when they see what the opening sequence is and how different it is to their own.

After recieving notes on work / pre work, pupils work together to think about how imporvements can be made and then complete this sheet.
