Continuing with the IGCSE Scheme of work - all of my lessons to date are on here to help other teachers who are facing this for the first time. I can only put 20 items on one feed, so I am trying to get them on in as small a bundle as possible. These have taken me ages this year so, if they're useful, please rate them!

This is the first section of a whole scheme of work on Of Mice and Men, I created it this year, with attention to making sure that the Ofsted 2011 guidelines were being expemplified. The lessons structure reading the book from before reading to after and each of the early lessons covers different sectionhs of the book. They can all be taught togetether or you could choose to dip and pick as each can be adpated and can standalone. I can olny upload 20 bits to 1 resource feed, but the rest are on here.

This is a training session that I deliver to all of the teachers that I train - at various stages of their career - although NQTs have been the ones that have got the most of it. It is yet another piece of my work that has been seen being used in training sessions where people have paid to go - so blatantly stolen. For that reason, so that no-one else makes a profit out of my work - I offer it out freely to all of my training and teaching colleagues and hope that you get a great deal out of all of the work that I have put in here!

This is a full lesson with resources that is designed to get pupils thinking about how a cover represents the story – all templates included for analysis as well as the tools for pupils to create their own.

This is a full and detailed lesson that covers the psychology of colour, image use, denotation and connotation. Ideal for media Studies as well as English. For English specifically, it is designed to support pupils when writing about Presentational devices and features.

The resource consists of slides that can be copied and pasted into any full lesson powerpoint in order to build a language starter into your lesson. This clarifies the use of apostrophes for both the omission of letter/s in words and to mark the possessive case.

Amazing Places - Australia This is a full lesson PowerPoint that is ready to teach (with resources if applicable) – although you will wish to adapt it for your own context – it’s part of a Humanities curriculum that is taught to Year 7 pupils, so covers Geography, History and Literacy skills. There are a series of lessons that I have uploaded. They can be taught as a group, or as a standalone as each is an entire complete lesson. The L/Os for this lesson are: To be able to collect suitable information about Australia and create a bank of key words about the country

This is another one of my schemes of work for year 9 that mirrors the skills needed for GCSE. In this scheme, pupils pick up the basics of poetry and analyse different poems. The reading assessment is about comparing the poems and then this leads to a writing assessment that starts at the end of the poems. Pupils then turn one of the poems into a moviemaker presentation and you can assess them for speaking and listening as they explain their image choices. Everything is together here.
