Complete Powerpoint quiz lesson on Macbeth by William Shakespeare. Great for a plenary or starter activity on this topic.

All you have to do with this is cut out the words - Basically, you give a word in the story (one of the homphones) to the pupils and they will keep it. As you read the story and say their word, their job is to stand up and check if it is the correct spelling! Great fun and an easy way to get perceptions of homophones corrected with whole class involvement and engagement.

Writing To Describe Techniques & Stimulus PP 1 This is a full lesson PP on the topic of writing to describe - I've uploaded 13 in total from this series and all have avrious different stimuli but use the same techniques of appealing to the senses and covering writing techniques. Literacy Starter – Comprehension These few slides can be added to the start of any lesson to use as a settler for when the pupils come into the room and to incorporate literacy skills into your lesson. This particular exercise is a reading comprehension style – there is a text and, if you print off the questions, pupils can answer them whilst you get the lesson set up. This text is aimed at level ¾ readers.
