Titanic Literacy Unit Lesson 1 This is one of the lessons from a unit of work on The Titanic. The unit explores the Titanic and uses this as the context. OfSted Outstanding Literacy All lessons Starter: With a new shift in focus for the 2012 framework that means that teaching and learning can only be judged outstanding if literacy and numeracy are encorporated across the curriculum, I am making a daily starter / settler activity that can be incorporated into all lessons. I was asked to teach discursive writing to a bunch of boys that needed to have it finished in a day. Thios is the amalgamation of a full scheme of work that i used to inspire and enthuse them. It's a bit gory - but it engaged them and got them writing!
