This is the start of my preparation For Working Life scheme for year 11 short course GCSE. All lessons and resources are uploaded on the same lesson stem and you can teach the whole course with these lessons, leading up to exam with coursework completion. This is the first section of a whole scheme of work on Of Mice and Men, I created it this year, with attention to making sure that the Ofsted 2011 guidelines were being expemplified. These are the first 18 lessons of a scheme of work that I created last year for DNA by Dennis Kelly. It is aimed at a year 9 class, as the idea is that I am starting to prepare them for GCSE Literature. Therefore, the scheme is a mix of analysis and playing with the text too. I've used a variety of ideas to teach it. All lessons are complete lessons in themselves but you may wish to adapt / cut apart and mix them up, especially if you want to use for GCSE.
