These resources span my career; from my period of teaching unqualified, through to an AST of English & Director of Teaching & Learning. Although my specialism is English, I have taught GCSE Citzienship, Language and Lit, Media Studies, Maths & History. I have also taught all of those at Key Stage 3, so there is an eclectic mix here. As the main trainer in my previous school, I have uploaded many insets and training session powerpoints too.

Holes - Stanley's Character

This is one of several powerpoint lessons that I have uploaded on the novel Holes by Louis Sacher, ready to teach with it's resources (if aplicable). Although, you will wish to adapt and differentiate for your own class. They can be taught together to reach an assessment outcome but all are suitable as standalone exploratory lessons. This lesson covers the character of Stanley.

This is one of several resources that I have uploaded on Hitler for a KS3 History Group working at level 4/5. This is a scheme of work overview that you may use as a starting point for teaching - encorporates PLTs and thinking skills.

10 Minute History Starter – Reichstag Fire These are a few PP slides that can be added to any History lesson to keep the exam topic fresh in pupil’s minds after you have taught the unit. This starter gets pupils to revise and practise answers to: Describe the Reichstag Fire; Explain how the enabling Act helped Hitler to consolidate his power

This is one of several lessons that i have uploaded on Mockingbird. I taught this in my PGCE year, so the lessons are exploriatry, but they're probably a good place for someone to start to adapt teaching. This lesson uses a template of who wants to be a millionaire to compile a whole class quiz.

Scheme of lessons Tudors With Assessment

This is another one of my older schemes, so it will probably only act as a springboard for other people to design a scheme around it. There are 7 lessons that have been slightly differentiated for upper and lower band and both lessons are here, with resources - some of which are included in the PPs and some are separate. Please don't be too harsh with reviews... they will need some adapting to teach today but it isn&'t a scheme I&';ve rewritten yet!

Amazing People –Caesar Hero Or Villain?

Amazing People –Caesar Hero Or Villain? This is a full lesson PowerPoint that is ready to teach (with resources if applicable) – although you will wish to adapt it for your own context – it’s part of a Humanities curriculum that is taught to Year 7 pupils, so covers Geography, History and Literacy skills. There are a series of lessons that I have uploaded. They can be taught as a group, or as a standalone as each is an entire complete lesson. The L/Os for this lesson are: To recognise the difference between a description (L4) and an explanation (L5)
Nobody has A Private Life - Lesson 2

Nobody has A Private Life - Lesson 2

This is part of a full scheme of work - all powerpoints and resources have been uploaded. Powerpoints are all separate uploads, saved by lesson numbers 1,2,3 etc. There are 9 lessons in total. Also uploaded as part of this section are resources. All lessons are saved under 'Nobody Has a Private Life'. This scheme is quite old, and will need some adapting as it was written in my PGCE year. However, it's a good starting point and pupils have very much enjoyed it over the years. Also has strong citizenship links!
