These are two lessons that are tied to the AQA specification for English Lit and the Relationship cluster - quite basic but a starting point for how to attempt questions. They don't have to be taught together.

This is everything that you would need to be able to teach the AQA Horror trailer task in the task bank for the moving image task. There is 1 mammoth overall powerpoint that can be constantly referred to but is too much for one lesson. Included here are: templates for all preproduction tasks showing how to do them; tutorials that pupils can run through independently. With the film logos and title screens, save them as jpegs so they can be used in the trailers.

This is a proposal and a powerpoint used to introduce the concept of a whole school reward day to award the well behaved pupils in the school and to encourage positive behaviour.

This is great as a whole class activity where pupils write their responses on whiteboards.

Every year I manage one or both of these and trying to find ideas / delegate tasks is an enormous task. Therefore, I've shared these instruction pages and posters that I use in order to help others to generate ideas and delegate the tasks. Hope they&'re useful.

This simple mat can be spun to help pupils remember what number they are in a group task. There are instructions on the second slide that exemplify how it can be used.

These are a series of tasks that I used to recreate a work scenario for pupils by giving them the memos and asking them to create a product. The other resources help them to market their product.

These are a series of games / revision aids and exercises that can be used to help support KS3 pupils with Grammar basics.

This is a little fun activity for form time at the end of term. Pupils try to work out what very obscure words mean!

This is training for staff that I adapted so that a core of older children could be trained as mentors in school. Al resources are uploaded with it but, to adapt and implement, you will want to use your own school reports.

This sheet allows pupils to track the development of a key character throughout the pay. If you use several for the play, one for each character, pupils can make notes throughout the lesson and keep track of the progress they have made and what they have learnt.

This is another example of work completed in year 9 to prepare pupils for assessment at GCSE - so it is more structured than controlled assessment allows for. However, this is based on the old specifications with an ora assessment for reading - so will need to be tweaked. Using a range of different activities, this assessment picks out key language fro the prologue and makes up a full morning of activities for English students.

This is a small training session that I put together for NQTs on how to embed literacy across the curriculum, in all subjects.

These are lessons that recap all prior teaching about magazines and set up the assessment for Unit 1 of the GCSE specification for AQA. All are tied into the AQA mark schemes with examples, resources etc. all embedded.

These are the remaining lessons from a full scheme of work - my first creation of a Maths scheme so I don't think for one second that it is the finished article but it will definitely offer more experienced maths teachers a starting point. The lessons are targeting moving G grade pupils up to C grade work. These particular lesson s cover Bidmas, factorising and algebra.

This is a booklet that can easily be adapted for any English department / teacher to use to engage pupils with their own progress after assessments. Pupils keep the booklet with their work so that they can chart their progress through the whole of KS3.

This was a whole staff Inset that I put together for the staff to get them totally focussed i on different ways to promote and demonstrate progress. Linked to quotes from the new framework, can easily be adapted for any school.

Basically, this is a powerpoint with 65 different slides on that can all be used to cut and paste into any lesson to provide a series of plenaries so that they are different all of the time.

This is a full lesson with the resources at the end of it that introduces the concept of branding and provides pupils with the task of rebranding their school.
