Horror Writing Scheme Full lessons & Resources. This scheme of work consists of 8 taught lessons that I have uploaded under the same title as lessons 1-8. All of the resources required for each lesson are uploaded alongside the lesson for ease of finding. These lessons are aimed at C grade writers and are ideal fo year 9 writers too (level 5 and above). Based on Urban Myth inspiration, the scheme goes through the planning stages into completion and writing.

Simpsons Audience Demographic This is a full lesson PP – and it ties into others that I have also uploaded – can be used as a standalone lesson and asks pupils to consider who watches the programme and why it appeals to so many people.

This is one of several tutorials that I use with pupils to get them to invesitigate an element of pre 1914 poetry so that they can present back to the class and teach the class. These are a series of lessons that I used with my low ability year 7s to get them to engage with letters that had been sent from China. The letters are attached as images if you want some inspiration. The lessons go through letter writing and how to attempt writing to others.

Selling Ice Cream – Set Up A Company This is a full self contained lesson plan that can be used on it’s own or can be taught as a full scheme of work alongside the other 6 that I have uploaded. All lessons start with the name Selling Ice Cream for ease of finding. These uploads are presentations that can be used to show pupils what they should be creating to support their pitch

This is part of a full scheme of work - all uploaded as separate powerpoints, as they are separate resources under the title 'Ballads Full Scheme of Work; Lesson Number' There are up 14 lessons, but the last three are covered by a writing frame as lessons 11 - 14. It's aimed at Key Stage 3 and was written in my PGCE year, so may need some updating and tying into APP criteria to upgrade it, but it's certainly a good starting place.

This is one of a series of lessons that I am uploading on the old AQA anthology poems. The lessons obviously have a comparative strand running through them and there are lessons for all of the poems from Cluster 1 and 2 uploaded as well as lessons that compare two poems or teach how to analyse them / compare them. Obviously no use for the old spec, but entirwely useful for the poetry comparison piece of controlled assesment in the new AQA spec.
