(No answers) Summary sheet on separating and purifying substances. This was created for the Edexcel 9-1 GCSE but could be adapted for other specifications.

Revision summary sheet/mat for Electrolysis - created with AQA GCSE Chemistry C6 topic in mind. Including Electrolysis Equipment, Changes at the Electrodes, Predicting Products of Aqueous Solutions, Extraction of Aluminium and Electrolysis of Brine.

Worksheet created for a Y7 lesson on writing/interpreting chemical formulae. The formatting and subscript lettering is the same as on the main preview image, not on the other previews as TES messes these up for some reason!

Students look at various food labels and find out how much protein, fat (including saturates), carbohydrates (including sugars), fibre and minerals are in each product.

Activity in which students sort the statements into categories according to which type of reaction they are. Print out the slide of statements and they write them in the appropriate column. There is a pre-made table for students who this would benefit, and one slide where the statements are pre-coloured into categories - they just need to figure out which colour of statements apply to which reaction. There is also a differentiated gap fill activity for students who would struggle to access the sorting activity, and an answer sheet for this.

Used for Y8 photosynthesis topic with an information hunt, however could be used as laptop research or for homework.

Worksheet on naming salts and the reactions of acids and metals.

2 differentiated worksheets where students work out the displayed and molecular formula of the first 8 alkanes. Second more difficult sheet also includes working out the empirical formula.

Table used with Y10 to research renewable/non-renewable energy resources and their advantages/disadvantages.

Summary sheet created for the end of a Y7 unit on Cells, but could work as a refresher for up to GCSE level. Students could complete this from memory, using laptops/textbooks, or as a homework task. Differentiated with 1 more structured/scaffolded sheet and 1 more open-ended. Also includes a slide with suggested answers for students to self-mark and correct.

Activity used with Y7 class for a lesson on the menstrual cycle - I used this with the information sheets as an information hunt acitivity, but could work with laptops, a video or as a cover work activity with textbooks. Challenge questions to print on the back, differentiated gap-fill version included.

Information and questions about complete and incomplete combustion. Used for AQA Separate/Trilogy Chemistry, Organic Chemistry topic.

Scaffolded worksheet on comparing the reactivity of 2 elements in the same group e.g. sodium and potassium. Sections on group 1 (and 2) and group 7 (and 6). Includes a diagram of relative atomic sizes for groups 1, 7 and 8. I have linked a video I made to help students with this task.

Scaffolded worksheet that shows students how to answer questions on melting/boiling point and link these to structure and bonding. Includes examples for giant covalent, ionic, simple molecular and metallic. Students use their new skills to answer 4 real past exam questions. Good for revising C3 (Structure and Bonding).

Activity on predatory-prey cycles. Students can be given either the scaffolded worksheet or just the graph for them to describe and explain independently. Includes a food web/producers and consumers recap starter. Used with Activate 1 Interdependence and Plant Reproduction with a Y7 group.

Information sheet and questions on phytomining and bioleaching. Used as a research task for Y11.

Gap fill/cloze activity on breathing/ventilation/inhaling and exhaling/gas exchange, with a comparison of inhaled and exhaled air.
