⁣This download includes 1 Word Document with a lesson plan for identifying and categorising angles. Starter activity: How many right angles are on a football pitch? *Web search ‘football pitch with markings’ and choose an appropriate image. ⁣ Station 1: measuring angles, electric tape on every desk - differentiate. ⁣ Station 2: identifying angles on a geometric image estimating and measuring. *Web search ‘Geometric Animals’ and you should find images to choose from. ⁣ Station 3: categorising real life images of angles on the iPad and creating a keynote or iMovie explaining what the angle was and why.⁣ *AirDrop images to iPad prior to lesson. ⁣ Station 4: teacher time - drawing, estimating measuring and finding missing angles.⁣ Resources: Jotters Pencils Rubbers Rulers Protractors Tape Whiteboard pens iPads (with photos AirDropped) Hand sanitiser Geometric animals (differentiated and printed out) Smartboard/ projector Image of football pitch (print outs and on ppt) This was a fun lesson we did in P7. Through the different activities the children will identify, measure and categorise angles. The children especially loved wiritng on their desks, check that your pens wipe off before hand and ask the cleaners if this is okay!
