Some bits and pieces that I found very helpful to myself when conduction LEGO Therapy sessions with children. A brief overview of each document: (Un)Helpful Thoughts and Actions Sorter - A sheet to work through with the children where they can discuss any thoughts they’ve had or actions they’ve carried out in the school day. Activity/Game Generator - Cut and place in a hat. Allow the child to pick and play the game as an ice-breaker for the first 5/10 minutes. Description of each activity is included. Energiser Activity Cards - A range of activities that can be completed in the first 5/10 minutes of the session. Cut out and place in bowl/hat and allow child to pick. Self-esteem Bricks - The children complete the sentences. Self-esteem scale - Acts as a baseline and should be completed with the child at the start and end of any block of session. Session Log - A handy place to write down any information from the session. Though Record - Allows discussion based on a particular event and you can work through each part with the child. Thoughts-Feelings-Actions - Card sorting game and a basis of discussion (when have you felt/acted/thought/…) Anything to try and help! ALl the best (:

~ I did this with Year 4 ~ PPT goes through the nuts and bolts of non-fiction texts; what you would expect to find in such a text and what each part is. Worksheet asks children to read the information and answer questions. The questions are geared towards finding information and recording it in a way that would be found in a non-fiction text. ~ I did this with Year 4 ~ Great starter to introduce a rainforest topic. End goal is to create a poster based on the rainforest. Introduction to issues surrounding the rainforest from someone who lives there. Extra worksheets just provide more information about the rainforest. Main activity for this is to cut out definitions and stick them in the correct boxes. Please feel free to adapt as you wish! Have fun! :)

PPT introducing speech to class and how to use it correctly when writing. Added sheet is a plan for a conversation where multiple people would be talking. Multiple speech bubbles to plan speech. Please feel free to adapt as you wish! Have fun! :)
