Full investigation into the effect of surface area on the air resistance for paper and card

Students investigate the factors that can the speed of decent for a parachute. The Factors are - surface area, mass and string length.

Students decide whether or not situations should require lots of friction or no friction and arrange them on a Venn diagram.

Students add force arrows to two diagrams to show the different in forces between floating objects and sinking objects.

Pretend to be Dmitri Medeleev and attempt to sort elements into categories based on their properties!
