A court room drama style fun Class Assembly for approx 30 children based on the True Story of the 3 little Pigs by Alexander T Wolf! Probably best suited for upper school but could be adapted.

Can be used as part of whole school moderation. Creative writing task - one has haunting music playing to also inspire some creativity!

This is a lesson based on the first chapter of Firework Maker's daughter by Philip Pullman. It is suitable for year 4 but can easily be adapted. It has low, medium and high risk activities on the powerpoint from which children can choose their own level of activity. It also has some extension activities which could also be lessons in themselves at a later date, including some reading comprehension questions which would be suitable for a guided reading group.

This is the first week of work based on newspapers and journalism for year 4. The second week culminates in the children writing a newspaper report on the battle of Watling Street and Boudicca. An entertaining Class Assembly based on the Tempest. The highlighted words are the original language, most has been adapted for children. This was after studying Shakespeare and completing a culmination of work on the Tempest with a class of 30 year 3s, but to could be adopted for other age groups.

Finding fractions of amounts using Harry Potter potions. Children find out the fractions needed for each quantity. Can create their own potions as an extension. A fun way to practise finding fractions of amounts and cross curricular too. Can be done with year 5/6
