Btec Applied science Unit 2 assignment B Calorimetry lessons and workbook
Attached are a set of lessons and workbook I used to teach assignment B in Unit 1 on calorimetry.
The workbook follows each powerpoint, and is split into clear sections.
Section 1 - introduction to calorimetry (theory behind heating heating/cooling curves and explanation on what happens at each point)
Section 2 - Transferring energy as heat - looks at process of heating and how shc and slh are linked to cooling curves
Section 3 - calibration of thermometers
Section 4 - cooling curves practical
Section 5 - Evaluation of experimental procedure
