A series of interactive digital and paper based resources supporting the teaching of Crime and Deviance. The units deal with the nature and definition of crime and deviance and lead to an open debate as to the nature of social control in our society. The third unit explores labelling theories of criminal behaviour and the final unit encourages learners to think about the value and accuracy of official statistics on crime by exploring the reasons people have for reporting and not reporting crime to the police.

After finding the 12 pentominoes pupils use the shapes in the following activities: •Find the symmetry and rotational symmetry of the shapes •Investigate which pentominoes will tessellate without being rotated, then which will tessellate when rotated •Fit the shapes into varying sizes of rectangles The unit contains pentomino shapes to download and print out.

This unit is made up of three mini interactive activities focusing on the properties of 3D shapes. The first activity is based on Euler’s theory. The pupils need to find a rule that links the faces, edges and vertices together. The interactive activity allows them to manipulate the shapes on screen to count the faces, edges and vertices. The second activity has them using their knowledge of the properties of 3D shapes to form a polyhedral chain. The third activity allows the pupils to investigate which edges will meet when a net folds to form a 3D shape.

A series of 20 lessons on the topic of SCHOOL. The lessons range from KS3 to AS Level with the common thread of topic area. Vocabulary and grammar teaching opportunities are exploited as well as giving information. Some lessons are suited to direct whole class teaching, some are to act as a springboard for talk within the classroom and others are directly related to examination requirements. The GCSE and AS lessons relate specifically to the WJEC syllabus but are suited to most examination stipulations.

This interactive activity allows pupils to investigate simple circuits by dragging circuit components into place to make a working circuit. The activities form an introduction to practical work exploring circuits. Pupils have the opportunity to experiment with switches to control components in order to find out that a circuit will not work if there is a break in it.

This unit introduces pupils to French structures used to give advice on keeping fit and healthy, with the focus on the use of the infinitive and the imperative. One of four units consisting of a variety of interactive reading, listening and writing activities, including a ‘Medical Test’ and an interactive ‘Aerobics Class’, the main focus is on the development of skills and language learning strategies. Pupils are encouraged to seek and identify patterns in language, to discuss their language learning and to use the language creatively.
