This unit revises the English GCSE play Macbeth by William Shakespeare. It includes interactive activities revising characterisation, themes and key events, in preparation for the exam and coursework questions. Pupils will become familiar with dramatic techniques, analyse language and imagery and will collect evidence and form judgements on who is to blame for the death of a main character. The unit also includes teachers’ notes with suggestions on how to use each resource.

Introduces pupils to the number 9. Pupils follow a character through a story where she finds nine of every item. Pupils then learn how to correctly form the number 9, and learn to recognise the number among other symbols through a series of games and activities. Learning objectives: to use mathematical language in the correct context, to begin to recognise numbers and to begin to match numbers to sight and sound.

This resource takes pupils on a virtual tour of towns and villages in India and examines the difference traidcraft has made to the lives of the local people.

In this unit, pupils are encouraged to extend sentences, form questions and use negative sentences, within the theme of sport and exercise. This is one of four units consisting of a variety of interactive reading, listening and writing activities, where the main focus is on the development of skills and language learning strategies. This resource pack provides a range of activities to explain and reinforce the meaning of compound words. It should enable pupils to: understand that a compound word is two smaller words joined together, look at individual words to make their own compound words, and identify and create compound words from a list or table of words.

The aim of this resource is for the pupils to interactively: identify objects and rooms within a house, talk about the town in which they live, identify animals and items familiar to the countryside, introduce new vocabulary concerning, identify the initial sounds of objects, begin to compare or contrast different localities, begin to gain an awareness and appreciation of the environment.
