A comprehensive resource designed to take pupils through the process of historical enquiry. The exercise focuses on the flooding of the Tryweryn Valley and asks pupils to consider the impact of these events on Wales. A series of worksheets to be used alongside the teaching of percentages

This application has been designed to teach pupils to accurately estimate and draw a bearing. The application allows the practice of drawing bearings and the estimation of bearings. Activity designed for pupils to think about and investigate shelters using a set of 11 photographs.

Diamante poems are fun and easy to write. Their distinctive structure provides an ideal venue for sentence-level work on nouns, verbs and adjectives. The purpose of the poem is to go from one subject at the top of a diamond shape to another totally different, and sometimes opposite, subject at the bottom. The starting point for this activity is a slide show highlighting the key features of diamante poetry. The writing process is modelled and pupils are asked to identify and classify different parts of speech.

This resource includes teacher notes and worksheets for investigating patterns at KS3. Students find a relationship between the number of boxes and the number of ways in which they can be stacked against the wall.

The unit is split into three sections giving information about the effects of waste on the environment and interactive games that allow pupils to learn how to minimise those effects. Section 1 introduces the pupils to the concepts of reducing, re-using and recycling waste to help overcome the negative effects on the environment. Section 2 has a timed interactive game where pupils need to decide whether different items of waste are suitable for reusing, reducing or recycling. Section 3 has an interactive game to teach pupils about the type of recycling bank different items should be placed in.

This unit revises the English GCSE novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. It includes interactive activities revising characterisation, important quotations, themes and key events, in preparation for the GCSE literature exam questions. Pupils will become familiar with American terminology to increase understanding of the novel and analyse the ending and its affect on the reader. The unit also includes teachers’ notes with suggestions on how to use each resource.

This interactive resource pack teaches pupils how to create a scatter diagram. It is split into sections taking pupils through the process step by step allowing them to interact with the resource before showing them the answers. Pupils can plot the data and draw the line of best fit then use the graph to estimate particular values. Section 2 allows the pupils to build on this work by drawing and comparing graphs to answer questions.

This pack consists of several activities that could be used to help pupils to examine sentences, look for key features and identify different sentence types. The activities will: allow the teacher to interactively demonstrate different types of sentences and allow pupils to sort sentences into the relevant groups. This pack contains: seven screens for use on the interactive, whiteboard , and three worksheets.

An animation shows the spelling of words with long a, e, i, o and u vowel sounds. Pupils see how split digraphs are used to spell these vowel sounds. Pupils are asked to make words using the Wordmaker machine. If the answer is correct the word is spoken and a picture appears. Suitable for older pupils with SEN.
