This board game is designed to help apprentices develop their problem solving skills. Each ‘Problem card’ contains a description of a problem that an apprentice has had to deal with. There are also ‘Manager cards’ with more complex problems of the type faced by managers. These will help apprentices prepare for career progression.

This resource provides the material for a complete unit of work. It may be used in conjunction with a visit to the Art Galleries at the National Museum Cardiff. The aim of the unit is to provide pupils with the tools to be able to describe, compare and analyse portrait paintings. Pupils will be presented with two portraits from different periods and will be led through a series of activities which will teach elements of visual language and develop pupils’ understanding of the context in which portraits were painted.
