This lesson introduces pupils to shapes and patterns. There are a series of interactive activities, all of which test pupils' ability to place shapes in a particular order. They will also create multi-coloured objects, one side at a time. The lesson can be simulated in the classroom using plastic building blocks.

An interactive resource that promotes healthy eating whilst encouraging pupils to consider where the food comes from and its effect on communities and the planet. Pupils use a simple database to compare and select fruits for their fruit salad before finding out how much of a carbon impact their salad has on the planet. Pupils are also given the opportunity to debate the positive and negative impacts of a global market and look at case studies of farmers around the World. This resource includes the ESDGC themes of Health, Choices and Decisions and Wealth and Poverty.

Using nursery rhymes to develop reading for meaning aims to familiarise young children with nursery rhyme scenes and characters. The screens are designed to encourage speaking and listening skills through listening to commentaries and contributing orally to class or group discussion. The activities are suitable for whole class or small group use. Teacher guidance will be of fundamental importance in ensuring that pupils develop their speaking and listening skills effectively when using the resource.

This unit is made up of a number of mini activities. After finding the 12 pentominoes pupils use the shapes in the following activities: Find the symmetry and rotational symmetry of the shapes. Investigate which pentominoes will tessellate without being rotated, then which will tessellate when rotated. Fit the shapes into varying sizes of rectangles. The unit contains pentomino shapes to download and print out.

This unit introduces pupils to Spanish structures used to give advice on keeping fit and healthy, with the focus on the use of the infinitive and the imperative. One of four units consisting of a variety of interactive reading, listening and writing activities, including a ‘Medical Test’ and an interactive ‘Aerobics Class’, the main focus is on the development of skills and language learning strategies. Pupils are encouraged to seek and identify patterns in language, to discuss their language learning and to use the language creatively.
