The Farm takes pupils on a virtual journey of a livestock farm. They see pigs, ducks, hens, horses, cows and sheep. There is a small information screen about each animal and where it lives, and then some activities involving counting animals and matching animals. Pupils can also sing along to the Old MacDonald had a farm nursery rhyme. Learning objectives: to recognise and name different sorts of farm animals, to count to nine, and to listen to and recall a nursery rhyme.

This introduces pupils to times of the day during a school day, including meal times. Pupils follow a short story about a boy called Gwyn as he goes through his daily routine. They have the opportunity to sequence three events of his day and his meal times pictorially and then follow this up in the form of cut-and-stick worksheets. Vocabulary introduced includes: breakfast time, lunch time, tea time, morning, afternoon, evening, night. Desirable outcomes: to begin to understand the idea of time and to sequence correctly.

This pack comprises of a series of seven units of work on the theme 'Holidays&' suitable for KS3 and Key Stage 4. Be familiar with Robert Merton’s development of anomie in his ‘anomic paradigm’. Recognise the link of Hirschi’s bonds of attachment with anomie theory. Be aware of the link between family and crime and how it might fit in with anomie. Be critically aware of the strengths and weaknesses of anomie theory as an explanation of crime.

Learn all about the number 2. This activity introduces pupils to the number 2. Pupils follow a character through a story where she finds two of every item. Pupils then learn how to correctly form the number 2, and learn to recognise the number among other symbols through a series of games and activities. Learning objectives: to use mathematical language in the correct context, to begin to recognise numbers and to begin to match numbers to sight and sound.

A resource which presents how to sort, search, graph and create a database. This resource is divided into 5 parts: Sorting Searching one field Searching two field Graphing Creating a database All the units follow the same pattern e.g., searching: Teacher notes Starter activity - an animation which shows what searching means. Session 1 - interactive activities which give the pupils an opportunity to see if they have understood what was presented in the Starter Activity.
