I came to the UK from India in 1996 on a British Chevening Scholarship to pursue M.Sc in Chemistry at Imperial Colleg, London. I worked as a Java software developer for 5 years. I have been a full-time mother to boys, Shreyas and Ayur since 2005. My boys who are born and brought up in London, have done several projects on the Ramayana as part of their RS syllabus, especially in the run-up to the Indian festival, Diwali. I formed a company, Puranas Ltd. Shreyas and Ayur re-wrote the Ramayana and narrated it when they were 17 and 12 years old. I published it on Audible in 2016 through my company Puranas Ltd. I have explored the world of puppetry for a year and felt that puppets have a fascinating way of drawing the audiences' attention. I put together a team of puppet designer, puppet makers and puppeteers to produce a simple version of the story behind the festival, Diwali. All the puppets have been designed and made in London!
